The Good Samaritan app is great for the casual or secular Christian or anyone interested in learning a little more about Christian history and customs. Good Samaritan takes an ecumenical (Universal) approach, combining several app concepts into one neat package. There is a news feed to the Christian Science Monitor, the complete parables of the 4 Gospels (including the parable of the Good Samaritan), a Prayer section with an overview of religious texts, currently 14 common prayers such as Beatitudes, Apostle’s Creed, and the Lord’s Prayer, an overview of the holidays, a dynamic feed to weekly sermons, and the Psalms of David (to be updated in their entirety), there’s a glossary with hundreds of terms and definitions related to Christianity and biographies of 30+ individuals from Biblical, Middle-Ages, and Modern eras.
